Boogie fever swept through Lifeview as this year’s Positive Ageing Celebration (PAC) transformed Springvale Town Hall into a glittering time capsule of 70s Disco Mania.
Sequins shimmered, bell-bottoms swung, and the energy in the room was electric as hundreds of residents, families, and staff filled the hall in what turned out to be one of the highest attended PAC events in years.
Lifeview sponsors, Bunzl, Cobalt, Bidfood, What the Fruit, Intech3, Immij, Scotchmans Hill, Chemist Warehouse, GMR Mechanical Service, Hesta, Manad, Best Med, Executive Cleaning, Goodman and Fielder, CVE Fire and Safety, My Supply, Westwood Wines, and Tumac, joined the celebration, helping make the afternoon one to remember.
Lifeview CEO Samantha Jewell heaped praise on everyone involved for creating such a special day.

“There’s a reason the Positive Ageing Celebration is a highlight on our calendars every year, and this might have been one of the best editions yet,” she said.
“It is always incredible to see everyone from the Lifeview community come together, get their dancing shoes on, and have a great time.
“We had a high number of families attending this year, across differing generations. One resident from Argyle Court had four generations of her family in attendance – herself, her daughter, her granddaughter, and her great-granddaughter!
“Facilitating families and loved ones to have these special moments together is something we’re very proud of at Lifeview.
“Thank you to everyone involved. PAC is a big undertaking for our Events Manager Annitta, who dreams up the colorful themes each year, and I’m proud of the way the entire team gets around the day behind the scenes. It makes it special for residents, attendees and staff.”
The afternoon kicked off with a disco dance refresher, with a professional instructor taking centre stage to guide everyone through some classic moves.
Guests were then treated to a spread of disco-inspired food and cocktails dreamed up by Lifeview’s talented chefs.
After lunch, Australia’s premier ABBA tribute band, Babba, made their grand entrance.
Dressed to impress and with Swedish accents to match, BABBA launched into a high-energy set packed with their timeless disco hits, like Mamma Mia and Dancing Queen.
The dance floor turned into a sea of smiles and movement as staff members danced alongside residents, and families joined in. Even a few sponsors were spotted showing off some surprisingly good moves.
Between the organised fun, a pop-up photo booth also became its own disco attraction. Dressed up in wigs, feather boas, and oversized sunglasses, guests lined up to capture their best 70s looks.
As the celebration drew to a close, the excitement turned to the raffle draw.
Cheers echoed from all corners of the venue as the names were called and prizes were handed out. For the lucky few, it was the perfect ending. But in truth, everyone walked away a winner.
