Lifeview is thrilled to have been named this year’s winner of the annual Ageing Australia Making a Difference Award, part of the national organisation’s You Are ACE! Awards.

Ageing Australia’s General Manager of Marketing and Communications, Abderazzaq Noor, visited Lifeview Emerald Glades today to present the award after winners were revealed this morning on Aged Care Employee Day.

“This is wonderful recognition of the great work being done at Emerald Glades and throughout the wider Lifeview homes. We are extremely proud to receive this honour,” Lifeview CEO Samantha Jewell said.

“I want to congratulate all the team at Emerald Glades, led by Manager Chi Dirorimwe, on this fantastic achievement.”

Lifeview was revealed as a finalist in two categories for this year’s awards, with Emerald Glades shortlisted for the Making a Difference Award, and housemate John Fato a finalist in the Individual Consumer Focus and Care Award.

To celebrate Aged Care Employee Day, Lifeview corporate team members visited the homes this morning to serve a specially prepared cooked breakfast for the care staff, while other corporate team members will visit this evening to serve dinner to the afternoon staff, and surprise the night staff.

“It’s a nice way to acknowledge the work that our staff do in the homes caring for residents each and every day and night,” Samantha said.

“We are very thankful to have such committed, wonderful staff at Lifeview and I know the residents are also extremely thankful for the care our staff show.”
