Lifeview is pleased to be among 14 providers selected to participate in the Aged Care Research and Industry Innovation Australian flagship projects.
Lifeview Willow Wood in Cranbourne will join seven other residential and home care services on a project titled Flagship Project 2: Empowering data literacy and capability to drive quality care.
“These projects give our staff a further sense of purpose, and we also understand how important it is that we all work together as an industry to look for new ways to innovate,” Lifeview CEO Samantha Jewell said.
“While it’s of course important to always look for ways to improve the quality of data gathered, finding ways to empower care staff to better access and understand data is critical to improving outcomes for residents in aged care.
“This (project) will accelerate Lifeview’s journey towards being more data-informed and support what matters most to us – delivering care that is personal, respectful and grounded in dignity.
“We’re always pleased to be working alongside likeminded organisations focused on improving outcomes for staff and residents.”
Flagship Project 2 is supported by an Aged Care Collaborative Accelerator Grant facilitated by Aged Care Research and Industry Innovation Australia (ARIIA), funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.
ARIIA CEO Reuben Jacob said flagship project participants will participate in a model of “co-ompetition” over the 12 months, where they collaborate and compete to implement innovative, evidence-based solutions that address sector challenges.
“We’ve also unashamedly copied the cotton industry from the 70s,” he said.
“They had a pest problem, and they came together as a sector and worked their way out of it, and we copied that for aged care for 2025.”
ARIIA’s role in the projects will be one of support, with Mr Jacob saying it enables providers to focus on one thing – the implementation.
