Thank you Tommy & The Project for Tea Time laughs

For six years we were fortunate enough to work alongside the fabulous crew and Tommy Little of The Project to make the popular segments, Tea Time with Tommy at Lifeview homes.

We are very sad to see The Project ending after 16 years. 

Tea Time was not only a joy to film (so much never made it air!), it also gave older Australians a voice, highlighting the many interesting lives they had led, and showed they still had it!  At no time were residents coached on what to say – they were free to be their true selves.

Every member of the crew made connections with Lifeview’s residents, taking time to ensure they knew what was happening, and were comfortable with the setup.  We were forever apologising to the sound crew for the reactions they received when trying to mic-up residents.

Even when residents attended The Project studio they were treated like the true superstars they are.

Champagne on arrival, sitting at THE desk, being waited on in the green room and front-row audience seating.

The residents always spoke so glowingly of their involvement in the Tea Time with Tommy at Lifeview segments.

The connection went further than the segment, with Tommy basing his 2018 tour around his interactions with residents in Lifeview homes, and many residents attending Tommy’s comedy shows, where he would always give them a shout out and a hug at the stage door.

We thank everyone who we had the pleasure of meeting during this time and wish the whole cast and crew the best for the future.

We truly believe laughter is the best medicine.
