To celebrate National Volunteer Week Lifeview takes the opportunity to give a shout out to the wonderful volunteers, who visit the homes regularly to help brighten residents’ days.
National Volunteer Week runs from May 20-26 and is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering.
It is a chance to highlight the important role volunteers play in the community and an invite for people who are not currently volunteering to give it a go.
This year’s theme is ‘Something for Everyone’, highlighting that there is a place for all in the world of volunteering.
Lifeview volunteers love what they do – and Lifeview and the residents love what the volunteers do!
Lifeview invites everyone in the community to consider volunteering some time to brighten residents’ days.
“If you have ever considered volunteering but haven’t been sure where to start, Lifeview is a great option,” Executive Manager – Marketing and Communications Cody Winnell said.
“In becoming a Lifeview volunteer you are joining the Lifeview family and helping bring joy to the residents, who are enormously appreciative for the activities our volunteers run.
“And you are only limited by your imagination in the activities you could bring to a home, such as leading a knitting group, playing or teaching music, running a men’s shed, quiz games, painting residents’ nails, even visiting to play board games – it’s just about giving some of your time on a regular basis to brighten residents’ days.”

Lifeview operates homes in Chelsea (Argyle Court), Cranbourne (Willow Wood), Emerald (Emerald Glades) and Wheelers Hill (The Willows).
