Location: South Eastern Suburbs

This would be an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist looking to expand their skills and embark on new challenge. Having a positive disposition, strong communication skills, and an enthusiasm for providing outstanding service levels as well as sound medication knowledge will see the ideal candidate succeed in this role.

We are looking for a motivated, dedicated, self-managed and passionate Embedded Pharmacist to join our team. Your sound experience and subject matter expertise on strong medication knowledge, and a sound decision making ability will make you the person for us.

This role will report to the Executive Manager – Clinical Governance and will be a ‘linking agent’, i.e; facilitating collaboration between all stakeholders in medication management and a ‘capacity builder’ i.e. develop competencies related to quality use of medicines 

  • Liaise with doctors and other allied health professionals as required
  • Provide advice and education to a team of nursing staff
  • Participate and contribute to clinical meetings

The successful applicant will:

  • Over 2 years of Pharmacist experience 
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or Equivalent with a current AHPRA registration
  • Accredited to conduct medication reviews (preferable)
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Genuine interpersonal skills, with an ability to professionally interact with health care workers and residents 
  • An ability/willingness to undertake new and varied tasks under a high degree of independence 
  • A passion to learn how to perform at a high level of clinical proficiency and undergo continual professional development 
  • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Packages with a high level of competency
  • Great attention to detail, demonstrated team participation
  • Strong customer service focus with a high level of responsiveness is essential.     
  • Current National Police Check
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (3 doses)
