This year’s edition of LIFE Week culminated in a milestone birthday celebration for Lifeview residents and staff.

The crystal-themed 15th birthday party was the jewel in the crown of an incredible week of activities built around Lifeview's LIFE principles: Laughter, Integrity, Focus and Engagement.
A hallmark of Lifeview's annual calendar, LIFE Week sees each day themed around one of the four principles, building to a birthday celebration that caps off the week in style.
Each home came together to enjoy live entertainment coupled with delicious food and drinks to mark the milestone achievement, with opulent cakes handcrafted by Lifeview’s chefs to match the occasion.
The festivities started with Laughter Day, with residents and staff giggling through sharing jokes, a photo captioning competition and a game of telephone.
Integrity Day saw everyone share their values, which were made into a chain to highlight the unity of Lifeview, and a special edition of integrity-themed bingo.
Focus Day was on a Friday, with a puzzle corner set up, life-drawing events and a new catch-the-butterfly game that delighted residents.
After a weekend refresh, residents from across Lifeview came together at Willow Wood to compete in Gill’s annual trivia, with the Willow Wood Titans coming out on top by just half a point over Argyle Court.
Saving the best for last, the birthday celebrations wrapped up the week, with staff from Lifeview’s Carnegie head office on site at the homes to join the celebrations.
Lifeview CEO Samantha Jewell congratulated the social support teams of each home for their support in making this year’s edition of LIFE Week one to remember.
“The LIFE Principles are at the centre of everything we do and to be able to bring them to life every year is very special,” she said.
“Closing out the week with our 15th birthday celebration was a fitting end to this annual celebration. A big shout-out to all our chefs for the home-baked birthday cakes and party food.”
