Lifeview Residential Care will not only be celebrating diversity and inclusion at this Sunday’s Midsumma Carnival at Alexandra Gardens, it will be celebrating marriage equality, and offering one lucky LGBTIQ couple the chance to win a wedding.

“Midsumma is a great avenue for Lifeview to spread the word on the LGBTIQ friendly aged care services it offers and we are really excited this year to be able to offer the chance for one couple to win a wedding with us, Lifeview CEO Madeline Gall said.

“The recent marriage equality debate, vote and subsequent redefining of the marriage law has shown that Australians truly believe that marriage is for everyone and that all Australians deserve to have their love celebrated and recognised.

“As Australia’s only private provider of aged care to be Rainbow Tick accredited we wanted to celebrate these changes and have decided to offer a fully funded wedding at one of our homes, in April, to one lucky couple.

“Lifeview will be providing the venue, the celebrant, the flowers, the music, the catering and Scotchmans Hill wines, all we need are the brides and/or grooms, and fifty of their closest family and friends”, she added.

Midsumma Carnival attendees will be able to enter the draw to win this fabulous wedding at the Lifeview stand (G3) this Sunday between 10am and 4pm.  The winners will be announced on Valentine’s Day.

Lifeview representatives will also be available on the day to discuss inclusive care options, employment opportunities and answer general aged care questions.

To round out the Midsumma Festival Lifeview residents, staff and extended families will also once again take part in the Pride March on Sunday 28 January under the banner “Pride Comes in all Ages.”
